It is across the Canada–US border from British Columbia. Originally called "Scarborough Harbour" in honor of Captain James Scarborough of the Hudson's Bay Company, it was changed to Neah in 1847 by Captain Henry Kellett. Kellett spelled it "Neeah Bay". The name "Neah" refers to the Makah Chief Dee-ah, pronounced Neah in the Still, if you have a hankering for a really long beach walk, this is the place for you. In the town of Long Beach, you can enjoy walking along a wooden boardwalk, rent a bike or go-kart, take a horseback ride or explore the town. Like most of Washington’s ocean beaches, during the season, you can go crabbing, clamming or fishing.
You can visit popular Rialto Beach nearby and visit Hole-In-The-Wall for five-star tide-pooling. Then head to Hoh Rainforest from lush, green hikes. Mora campground in Olympic National Park has 94 sites located in an old growth forest along the Quillayute River about 2 miles from Rialto Beach. The campground does not have hookups or showers, but does have an RV dump station, drinking water and flush toilets.

Second Beach, Third Beach, Ruby Beach and many other coastal wilderness locations are also excellent places to view intertidal life in the park. Mora, and it did not a bore-ya. Walking distance to the beach, near fabulous hiking trails, fishing holes and under a canopy of trees, it was only missing a hot spring. The ranger even snagged us a spot from an outgoing camper (because it was full And we are piss poor planners). The Mora area including Rialto Beach is now open.
